Batik Oetoro is a family operated business originally established 35 years ago by Michel Kostovic and named in honour of the famous Indonesian batik artist and friend, Bambang Oetoro. It is now owned and operated by Lynne Britten, well known textile artist and master dyer.

Our factory and showroom are located at 8/9 Arnhem Close, Gateshead, NSW (a suburb of Newcastle).

You will find this website continually evolving with the addition of new products and information. We intend to provide a lot of technical information and detailed instructions for using our products. This website contains more detailed information on our products than our printed catalogue can accommodate.  It contains full price list (catalogue) with colour charts of all textile dyes, silk dyes and fabric paints which can be printed from your browser. Printed color charts of silk painting dyes and MSD sheets on textile dyes and chemicals are supplied on demand with purchase of individual products.
